The Emerald Fern Creator Program

We invite the creators other brands overlook.

Not because your audience fits a demographic box. Because they trust you—and trust is the only reach we cannot buy.

Meet the founders

The people behind the partnership.

Cami and MJ Johnson built Emerald Fern Finishes and Rose Hill Cabinets around a simple belief: customers deserve professional-grade choices, useful education, and a more human way to buy.

Creators will work with a founder-led team that understands projects, protects trust, and values the communities that make growth possible.

A program with a point of view.
And a partnership with real substance.

Why this exists

A beautiful room can carry a bigger story.

Emerald Fern Finishes is a Black- and woman-owned home-finishes products platform built to make professional-grade products, grounded education, and more equitable purchasing power available in the same place.

We want creators who can tell that story honestly—whether your content starts with a cabinet transformation, a first-time renovation, the economics of where we shop, or the communities our purchases help build. You keep your voice. We bring the products, the education, and terms explained in writing before you begin.

See yourself in the work

A useful story can start anywhere.

At a microphone, in a finished kitchen, or with one cabinet-door sample in hand: the format is yours. The goal is honest context that helps people make a better decision.

Let the room open the conversation. This illustrative Navy and Linen kitchen concept shows how product choices, project education, and the people behind a purchase can belong in one useful story.

Two lanes. One true story.

Come through the door that feels like you.

The program is intentionally broad enough for renovation education and values-led storytelling to live side by side. Neither lane requires a script, a manufactured aesthetic, or a perfect house.

Lane 01 · The project

Home, DIY & renovation creators

For people helping their audiences make rooms work better: kitchen and bath projects, first homes, attainable design, product comparisons, trade education, and real before-and-afters.

Lane 02 · The impact

Values, justice & community creators

For people making ownership, representation, supplier diversity, local economic impact, and intentional purchasing easier to understand—and more practical to act on.

Why this partnership matters

A first you can be part of.

To our knowledge, Rose Hill Cabinets, our house cabinet line, is the first Black-owned cabinet brand in the United States. For many of the product lines we carry, Emerald Fern Finishes is also, to our knowledge, the only Black-owned distributor in the country. In an industry with thousands of distributors, that representation has been missing. Most people have never thought about it because nobody imagines the answer is nobody.

That is exactly why creators matter here. When you tell this story, you are not simply promoting a product. You are turning on a light. Every homeowner who buys a vanity through your link, and every pro who opens a trade account, is quietly making a bit of history with us.

And so is the creator who told them.

Same products.
Two true stories.
Your voice.

We will never hand you a personality, ask you to hide a material connection, or expect praise you have not earned through your own experience.

We will give you the product facts, the project context, access to real people, and room to be useful. The strongest partnership is one your audience can recognize as yours.

What we look for

Trust before follower count.

We review fit individually. A smaller community that listens is more valuable than a large audience that scrolls past.

01

A point of view people recognize

Your content has a consistent reason for existing—even if your format, platform, or audience size is still evolving.

02

Useful honesty

You explain the tradeoffs, show the process, and help people decide. You are comfortable saying what you know—and what you do not.

03

Real community connection

Your audience responds because they feel seen, not because every post follows the same formula.

04

Clear disclosure

You are willing to disclose gifted products, commissions, and every other material connection clearly and conspicuously. Trust should never depend on fine print.

A meaningful sale deserves meaningful compensation

How compensation will work.

Cabinet projects create more value than a typical affiliate cart. Approved creators will receive category-specific terms that explain attribution, eligible orders, adjustments, and payment before any content goes live.

How consideration works

Thoughtful from the first hello.

Step 01

Tell us about your work.

Apply anytime with your platforms, your audience, and the kind of story you would genuinely want to tell.

Step 02

We review for fit.

We look at trust, usefulness, values alignment, and the experience we can responsibly support—not a single follower threshold.

Step 03

Build the partnership.

Approved creators receive written terms, tracking details, product facts, and a clear starting plan before anything goes live.

Creator application

If this feels like your kind of partnership, say hello.

Applications are open now and reviewed on a rolling basis. There is no perfect pitch. Give us enough context to understand what you create, who you serve, and why Emerald Fern belongs in that conversation.

Applying does not guarantee an invitation, acceptance, a specific start date, product access, or earnings. The founding cohort officially launches in October 2027; strong fits may receive an early invitation. Approved participation begins only after written program terms are accepted. Creators are responsible for truthful content and clear disclosure of material connections in accordance with applicable law and platform rules.
