MSI XL Rockmount Stacked Stone Panels

XL Rockmount is MSI's oversized natural stone stacked-stone program: 9x24 in. split-face ledger panels that cover 1.5 sq. ft. per piece and install faster with fewer joints than standard 6x24 ledgers, with matching 9x18 in. (9x12x6) L-corners to finish outside corners. Each of the 20 colors is 100% natural stone — marble, quartzite, limestone, slate, travertine, or sandstone depending on the color — rated for interior and exterior vertical applications such as accent walls, fireplace surrounds, backsplashes, facades, and retaining walls (not for flooring). Features

• Oversized format: 9x24 in. panels (3 per box) with matching 9x18 in. L-shaped corner units (4 per box); each box covers 4.5 sq ft.
• 100% natural stone: Material varies by color — marble, quartzite, limestone, slate, travertine, or sandstone; expect natural variation in tone, veining, and cleft from piece to piece.
• Split-face texture: Natural-cleft, modular grout-free design; panels stack tightly with staggered vertical joints and no grout lines.
• Interior & exterior use: Fireplaces, accent walls, backsplashes, facades, columns, BBQ surrounds, planter and retaining walls (not rated for floors).
• Professional install: Set with polymer-modified mortar meeting ANSI A118.15, back-buttering each panel; exterior installs go over a scratch coat.
• Sealing required: As natural stone, panels must be protected with a penetrating stone sealer (MSI cites products such as 511 Impregnator), especially outdoors and around fireplaces.

Coverage & Ordering

Every color is offered as both a flat 9x24 panel and a matching 9x18 L-corner, each sold by the 4.5 sq ft box. We recommend ordering about 10% extra for cuts and waste.

Tip: order your full project — including overage — in one purchase. Natural stone is quarried in batches, and re-orders may ship from a different lot with noticeable variation in shade and veining.

Stacked stone is a wet-set, sealed installation. For a complete job you'll want:

• Polymer-modified mortar — a thinset/LHT mortar meeting ANSI A118.15 for back-buttering the panels (exterior installs go over a scratch coat).
• Penetrating stone sealer — required for natural stone; seal before and after installation and periodically after (e.g., an impregnating sealer such as 511 Impregnator).
• Metal edging / trim — to finish exposed panel edges and terminations cleanly.
• Tile spacers & leveling — to keep courses even and joints staggered.
• Diamond blade & masonry tools — for cutting and fitting the split-face stone.

Ships as boxed cartons via freight; most orders arrive in 3–7 business days. Because each box covers 4.5 sq ft, order all the boxes your project needs (plus ~10% overage) at once. Inspect your delivery on arrival and report any transit damage within 48 hours.
