Soft-Close Appliance Lift

A stand mixer is heavy, and hauling it up onto the counter every time you bake is how backs get tweaked. This spring-assisted lift does the lifting for you — the mechanism swings the mixer up and out of the base cabinet to counter height, then folds back down out of sight when you're done.

The soft-close action brings it up and sets it down gently instead of dropping the weight. Pick the shelf that matches your cabinet opening, or go without a shelf if you're mounting your own platform.

Sizing

Measure your cabinet opening width, not the door. Match the shelf to that opening — 12", 15", or 18". Choose No shelf if you're supplying your own platform for the mixer. The shelf is where the appliance rides, so getting the width right is what makes it clear the cabinet cleanly.
